No. 126, San Francisco, July 15, 1861. * * * * * * * Il. Under an exigency of the service Capt. R. ©. Drum, assistant adjutant-general, will, in addition to his other duties at these head- quarters, perform those of chief of the subsistence department, relieving Capt. M. D. L. Simpson, commissary of subsistence.
