Foreign Office, Berlin, September 24, 1881.
The undersigned, referring to the note from the foreign office of the 21st instant, has the honor to inform Mr. H. Sidney Everett, chargé d’affaires ad interim of the United States of America, that another member of the von Steuben family of Falkenberg, will have the honor to accept the invitation of the President and people of the United States to take part in the centennial celebration of the capitulation of Yorktown, on the 19th October next.
