Sir: I have to acknowledge with satisfaction the receipt of your despatch, No. 561, relating to the high regard entertained for Anson Burlingame, esq., our minister at Pekin, by Sir Frederick Bruce, and to inform you that the information agrees with our reports from China concerning Mr. Burlingame.
