Mr. Seward to Lord Lyons.

My Lord: I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your communication of the 6th instant, in regard to a military order of the 18th ultimo, issued by Major General Banks at New Orleans, respecting gold, and to inform your lordship that I will take the subject into consideration.
