Sir: I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your despatch of August 12, No. 209, and it gives me much pleasure to learn that the elections which necessarily followed a legislative crisis have been conducted with good order, and that the results are deemed auspicious to the stability and welfare of the kingdom.
