Sir: I enclose for your information a copy of a note* of the 9th instant which I addressed to Sir Frederick W. A. Bruce, relative to the contents of a note,* a copy of which is also enclosed, of the 19th ultimo, upon the subject of the Shenandoah, from Lord Clarendon, who instructed Sir Frederick to communicate it to me.
