Volkenstein to To the Envoy Extraordinary and, August 4, 1880

Count A. Volkenstein to Mr. Kasson.

The ministry for foreign affairs has the honor to inform the envoy extraordinary and minister plenipotentiary of the United States of America, Mr. John A. Kasson, that according to a note of the imperial and royal Statthalterei in Prague, Marcus Cohn has renounced his citizenship of the United States of America, acquired by naturalization, and that in conformity with the treaty of 20th September, 1870, Austrian citizenship has been conferred on him.

At the same time, the undersigned avails himself of this occasion to renew to the envoy the assurance of his distinguished consideration.
