Viscount Monck to Mr. Burnley

Sir: Referring to your despatch of the I2th of October, 1864, and its enclosure respecting the extradition of W. H. Crawford, charged with the crime of assault with intent to commit murder within the jurisdiction of the United States, I have the honor to state, for the information of the Secretary of State of the United States, that my warrant has been issued for the delivery of this person to the proper authorities of the United States.
