Manchester, New Hampshire, March, 1866.
This is to certify that I have been attending physician to Cornelius Healy, late captain of the eighth regiment New Hampshire volunteers, U. S. A., in which service he contracted “remittent fever,” from which he suffered severely; so much so as to impair his health to the extent that I believed a sea voyage and change of air would be necessary to his perfect recovery, and believing such, recommended him to go to Ireland for the benefit of his health.
