Baldwyn, Miss., September 22, 1862.

General TILGHMAN, Jackson, Miss. : General Price will direct all disposable arms to be sent to Jackson for exchanged prisoners. His army will get here to-night. The move. ment from Iuka was effected without loss of any kind.

Davis’ MILL, Miss., September 23, 1862. Maj. Gen. STERLING PRICE:

I-march to-morrow morning toward Rienzi; wil] reach there in three days, on the 26th or 27th. I will send cavalry in front. If you send out they will meet. Send me all the information you have. I came within one hour day before yesterday of cutting off Hurlbut’s division from Bolivar. They came as near as Grand Junction. © 1 shall send cavalry to attempt to cut railroad from Corinth to Jackson, Tenn. Telegraph me the strength of the enemy in your front and where they are. Watch them closely with your cavalry.
