HEADQUARTERS,
Bowling Green, Ky., December 7, 1862.
COMMANDING OFFICER, Gallatin, Tenn. : Sir: Reliable information has just reached these headquarters that the enemy’s cavalry, 250 strong, were within 10 miles of Scottsville. This was reported by sheriff of that place.
