Maj. M. M. KIMMEL, Assistant Adjutant-General : Mason: have the honor to submit the following statement of the effective men of my command, enlisted, as reported by Generals Hébert and Armstrong, at Ripley, and General Maury, at this place:

Two regiments of cavalry are absent, one at Baldwyn and the other east of there. One of these has been ordered here, and will probably be np in three or four days.
