My Dear Mr. de Stoeckl: I have received a despatch from Mr. Clay, in which he gives us the pleasing information that his Imperial Highness, the Grand Duke Alexis, contemplates visiting our country during the present year. Whenever it may be convenient I would be happy to confer with you upon this subject at this department.
