No. 20. Baron Schaeffer to Mr. Frelinghuysen.

Sir: I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your letter dated 13th instant, with respect to the unfortunate affairs of the two Hungarian ships, Mimi P. and Ararat, in Philadelphia.

I cannot but express my sincerest thanks for the compliance with my request by which you enable me to give to my Government a detailed reply, so urgently asked for by them.
