Harper’s Ferry, May 12, 1864.
Col. R. S. RopGERS, Commanding at Martinsburg : General Weber is anxious about the safety of your post, and will send you two companies Fifth New York Artillery, 400 men, this evening. They will leave here as soon as cars are provided, probably in three hours.
