Earl Russell to Mr. Adams.

Sir: I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 9th instant, enclosing copies of further depositions relative to the steamship Victor, otherwise Rappahannock, and I have to inform you that these papers have heen communicated to the proper department of her Majesty’s government.
