Thomas Jefferson to John, Jr Jouett, April 15, 1777
April 15. 1777.
Received of Thos. Jefferson fifty one pounds four shillings to be given in bounty to such persons as shall enlist with me and I promise to execute a bond with sufficient security for employing it in that way.
