General ASBOTH, Rienzi:
GENERAL: The enemy have ten regiments, under General Chalmers. I am still holding them.
I want supports, particularly artillery. Let me have them at once, if it is possible.
I have been cut up some little, but am still strong. Telegraph this to General Granger immediately. I am, sir,
very respectfully, your obedient servant,
Colonel, Commanding Second Brigade, Cavalry Division.
