Llanidloes, May 5, 1865
At the quarterly meeting of the council of the borough of Llanidloes, in the principality of Wales, Great Britain, held, pursuant to summons, on the 5th day of May, A. D. 1865, it was moved, seconded, and carried nem con.—
That the council of the borough of Llanidloes hereby unanimously express their extreme abhorrence of the assassination of the late lamented President Lincoln, and their deep sympathy and condolence with Mrs. Lincoln upon her great bereavement, and also with the American people for the great loss they have sustained, and at a very critical period of their history, of that most honest, sagacious, and concilatory statesman and patriot, their late President.
