Sir: You will find a suitable occasion to read
to Mr. Drouyn de l’Huys the enclosed copy of a correspondence which has
taken place between the ministry for foreign affairs of Italy and this
department on the subject of the reinstatement of Mr. Theodore Canisius
in the office of consul at Vienna, and you may give a copy of the same
to Mr. Drouyn de l’Huys, if requested.
