DEPARTMENT OF THE CUMBERLAND,

Brigadier-General BOYLE, Louisville : Forrest was at Columbia yesterday, preparing for a raid via Clarksville, or in that direction ; has a battery of six pieces. Look out for him. Have advised Granger. Bruce and McHenry must concentrate and whip him, and take his pieces.
