Sir: I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 26th instant, and to inform you that instructions have been sent to Commander Byron Wilson, commanding the United States steamer Yantic, to co-operate with the agent of Her Britannic Majesty’s government, in any proper way, to secure the success of his mission to Muscat or Zanzibar.
