F SIGNAL STATION, May 1, 1863—4.30 p. m. General SEDGWICK: A battery of four guns southwest of this point is seen; also a new work for four guns is being constructed south-southwest. No guns are yet in position in this work. Both works are supported by rifle-pits and aravine. An old work is seen on a small elevation to the right rear of the completed battery, but no guns in position at present. A six-gun battery south and in front of Reynolds, on Summit Point. ;

Independent of Bowling Green road and the railroad, there is a complete rifle-pit along the edge of the woods in our front; also short pits in commanding positions over the plain.
