Letter
John Jay to Floridablanca, 19 June 1780
[Madrid 19 June 1780]
M r . Jay presents his respectful Compliments to his Excellency the Count D–Florida Blanca, and takes the Liberty of enclosing a Copy of a Note he has just recieved, respecting a Bill drawn upon him for 333 Dollars. 1
From this his Excellency will percieve the painful Situation M r . Jay is in. He forbears making any Reflections on it, being persuaded that His Excellency–s wisdom and Sensibility render them unnecessary.
