Corinth, Miss., October 2, 1862.

Brigadier-General STANLEY, Commanding Division :

The general commanding directs that you prepare your command to move by 3 o’clock with three days’ rations. Move by the bridge road leaving a regiment as a guard at the bridge. Come to near General Grant’s old headquarters and report for orders. The outpost at Kossuth will come in. H. G. te ye Theutenant-Colonel and Chief of Staff.
