Sir: Your despatch, No. 84, of the 14th, and No. 85, of the 18th ultimo, have been received. The subject to which that of the earlier date refers, namely, the proposed immigration hither of certain Polish refugees now in Switzerland, will receive proper attention. It has already been referred for consideration to the Secretary of the Interior.
