Legation of the United States in Central America, Guatemala, April 2, 1885. (Received April 16.)
Mr. Hall informs the Department that a battle was fought to day (the 2d) between the forces of Salvador and Guatemala, in which the President of Guatemala was killed. He says the diplomatic corps has proposed an armistice.
