George Washington to Henry Lee, July 24, 1780

[ Bergen County, New Jersey ] July 24, 1780 . Directs Lee to drive off all horses “fit for waggon or riding service” and “fat Cattle” in Monmouth County, New Jersey, and to deliver them to the quartermaster general. After executing this business Lee is to proceed to Easton, Pennsylvania, to impress teams.
