Marsh, Minister, Rome:
Referring to article twelve of the treaty with Great Britain of 8th May, the President and Her Majesty the Queen of Great Britain have conjointly agreed to receive Count Corti as the third commissioner, to be appointed under that article, if the Italian government consent to his serving. You will see your British colleague, and arrange with him for a contemporaneous request to the Italian government for its consent, and inform Department of answer by telegraph.
