Evarts to Thomas O. Osborn, April 7, 1880

No. 10. Mr. Evarts to Mr. Osborn.

No. 121.]

Sir: I have to acknowledge the receipt of your No. 266 and incisures, relative to the “South American Continental Exhibition,” which is to be held at Buenos Ayres, in September next, and to observe in reply that, although it is not understood that the concurrence of this government in the enterprise is invited, the United States feel much interest in the same, as tending to increase the commercial and agricultural prosperity of the Argentine Republic; and publicity has been given to the notification of the enterprise through the public press and the Department of Agriculture.

I am, sir, &c.,

WM. M. EVARTS.
