Fort BRAGG, CAL.

Assistant Adjutant-General, U. S. Army, San Francisco, Cal.:

SIR: I have the honor to report that, having supplied the detachment now on Eel River with two months’ provisions, 1 shall to-morrow leave this post with twenty-five men and proceed to execute the order contained in your letter of March 12, 1861.
