HEADQUARTERS FIRST PENNSYLVANIA CAVALRY,
December 27, 1862.
December 27, 1862.
DEAR Sig: It seems there has been some mistake in the disposition of our cavalry forces. You will please return to my command at Garrisonville the 50 men furnished you by me. As Colonel Di Cesnola claims he has furnished you with all you required from the Sixth Ohio, I am very sorry this mistake has occurred, and I hope you will not censure me for ordering them back, as I do so
by order of Colonel Di Uesnola, commanding cavalry brigade.
W. M. H. HARRIS,
Captain First West Virginia Cavalry.
