HEADQUARTERS HUMBOLDT MILITARY DISTRICT,

Captain STUART, E Second Infantry California Vols., Comdy. at Fort Ter-Waw : CAPTAIN: The colonel commanding the district desires you to keep as strict a watch as possible upon the Klamath Indians in your vicinity, and in the event of your having any positive information of their preparing to commence hostilities to report immediately to these headquarters by express.
