Chinese Legation, Washington, February 25, 1881. (Received February 25.)
Sir: I had the honor on the 21st ultimo to send your excellency a communication upon the subject of the riot at Denver, Colo., which resulted in the loss of life and the destruction of property owned by the Chinese residents.
I shall be greatly obliged, Mr. Secretary, if I may soon receive a reply thereto, that I may communicate the same to my government.
