SECESSIONVILLE

(Received 2.48 a. m.) Capt. W. F. Nance, Assistant Adjutant-General : No further demonstrations. My pickets have fallen back from Battery Island to the lower (Legaré’s) house, nearest Battery Island. The enemy are advancing their pickets cautiously.
