Sir: I have to acknowledge the receipt of your No. 67, “relating to the circular of the minister of the interior concerning the harmless character of American pork,” and to say in reply that the President is much gratified by the exhibition of this candid spirit on the part of His Majesty’s minister.
You will please avail yourself of an early occasion to make known to His Majesty’s government the satisfaction which has attended the receipt of the intelligence conveyed in your very welcome dispatch of the 30th ultimo (No. 67).
