Dear Child,

I can only write one Line to let you know I am well, and shall write fully to you and all my Friends as soon as [the] Parliament adjourns for the Holidays, which it will do next Week. 8 I receiv’d [your] kind Letters per Friend and per the Packet. 9 My Love to Sally and all Friends.
