Major-General THomAs, Gallatin : If you have not communication with Crittenden, open it rapidly. Rumors from that direction. Answer immediately.

GALLATIN, November 14, 1862.

GENERAL : I left General OCrittenden’s headquarters at about 3 this

p.m. All quiet then.
