Santa Fé, N. Mex., June 16, 1861. COMMANDING OFFICER, Fort Fillmore, N. Mex. : Str: I inclose a copy of instructions to Major Lynde, Seventh Infantry, to meet a contingency of which you are already apprised. 1f -the necessity for an immediate concentration of troops at Fort Fillmore should exist, you will, without waiting for the instruetions of Major Lynde, take such measures as you may consider expedient to facilitate the movement of the troops from Fort McLane.
