Letter

A. B, Jewett to J. H. Taytor, June 11, 1863

BRIGADE HEADQUARTERS,

Lieut. Col. J. H. Taytor, Assistant Adjutant-General :

The enemy remain on the opposite side of the river from Muddy Branch, and assume a threatening attitude. Cannot the picket there be re-enforced by cavalry from Washington, as all my force seems to be needed where it is ?

Respectfully,

A. B, JEWETT,
Colonel, Commanding.
